Friday Favorites

This week went by so fast! It sucks however that I've been sick this entire week. :( I hope that I'll feel better by Sunday since my mom and I have a booth in a craft fair. Let's see what else happened this week? Wednesday was my brother Derek's birthday, Tuesday I went with Vern to get her hair cut [she cut it short and donated it], and Tuesday night my mom and I went to a class that talked about starting your own business. That's seems to be all I did this week; not very exciting.

I saw The Great Gatsby with Crysalyn last Thursday. It was good, but I wasn't really feeling the modern music.  Hearing "H to the Izzo" by Jay-Z really killed it for me. However, Leonardo Dicaprio was a great Gatsby [haha no pun intended] and he looked good in 3-D.

I love this movie so much! This is where my love for Jonah Hill began.

Sometimes I really miss Brian Wilson being on the team. He was quite a character.

Could this be any awesomer? John Krasinski stop making me love you even more.

Family Portrait: Notice that Pluto isn't included.

I never realized how hilarious and sometimes smart-alecky Gordo was until after the show ended. I always thought it was weird how teachers would remind you every single time how to fill in the bubble. From elementary school to high school--every single test. You would think that they would think we would know.

This show is too much. I found out Netflix recently removed this show. They better put it back on soon and have seasons 2 & 3 up.

Top 20 TV Couples

Entertainment Weekly did a poll on whose the greatest TV couple of all time awhile ago, so I decided to do my own but with my own couples. Here's the full bracket for EW's greatest TV couple.

http://www.ew.com/ew/static/html/2013/03/full_bracket.html

Okay mine is not going to be that fancy. I'm just going to have a top 20 list since I love making lists.

20. Booth/Bones (Bones)
I have never seen this show before, not once. I have only seen previews for the show and just from those previews, Booth & Bones are one of my favorite couples.

19. Hyde/Jackie (That 70's Show)
I never really liked Jackie and Kelso so much, but I liked her with Hyde. They were so different yet they worked so perfectly together. I'm still mad that she ended up being with Fez. Whenever I watch reruns, I can't get over the fact that they didn't end up together.

18. Finn/Rachel (Glee)
Just from the pilot episode I knew they were going to end up being together. So I waited not so patiently for them to finally start dating. Once they finally did I was happy and turned my focus on other couples. However, since their breakup this season, I find myself once again not so patiently waiting for them to get back together [and hopefully stay together].

17. Howard/Marion (Happy Days)
I simply just love them. Individually or together. I don't have much of an explanation. They're just great.

16. Patrick/Teresa (The Mentalist)
Seriously they like each other! My mom doesn't see it, but I do. How could you not like Patrick? He's so darn cute!

15. Will/Emma (Glee)
All of season one I kept waiting for them to be a couple and when they finally kissed after they won sectionals, I was ecstatic. Then all of season 3 I wanted them to get married and when Will finally proposed in the awesomest way a glee club director could, I was even more ecstatic. Now in season 4 there is nothing but disappointment when they didn't get married [for those of you Gleeks you already know what I'm talking about]. Anyways, hopefully they'll finally get married before this season is over.

14. Mike/Molly (Mike & Molly)
Mike & Molly are one of my favorite couples on TV right now. I feel that their relationship is the most realistic compared to other shows that have way too much drama. Come on no one's love life is that dramatic, right?

13. Doug/Patti (Doug)
Doug was secretly in love with Patti and I'm pretty sure she liked him too. I have no idea how their relationship panned out since I stopped watching it when Disney picked it up. In my mind it ended happily.

12. Nick/Lindsay (Freaks & Geeks)
I know Nick liked Lindsay way more than she liked him and she more than likely liked Daniel more than him, but I thought they were a cute couple while it lasted.

11. Mike/Phoebe (Friends)
The underrated couple of Friends. There's just so many things I love about them. The way they met [Joey forgot to find a blind date for Phoebe and made up a guy named Mike. He went to Central Perk and just yelled out "Mike" hoping someone would respond.], the fact that she grew up on the streets and he grew up rich, she was weird but he didn't care. Their wedding was my favorite wedding from the series.

10. Cory/Topanga (Boy Meets World)
They were childhood sweethearts, you can't really beat that. I didn't watch this show much, but I loved their relationship especially when they were younger.

9. Arnold/Helga (Hey Arnold!)
Oh Helga your stalker love for Arnold was both cute and creepy. I think having a shrine of the boy you like made out of his used gum is just taking things a little too far-right? Or secretly cutting his hair and then keeping it in your journal? Yeah just a little creepy, but you still wanted them to be together. Despite the creepiness, I've never wanted a cartoon couple to happen as much as Arnold and Helga. I literally gasped when she confessed her feelings for him and kissed him in the Hey Arnold movie, but then we never knew what happened to them after that. They pretended like it was a mistake afterwards [something about being caught up in the moment or something] and acted like nothing happened. What the heck? That's how it ends?  Really?

8. Sheldon/Amy (The Big Bang Theory)
This one...probably the most interesting couple. I wish Sheldon would just get with the program and start acting like a normal boyfriend. I guess it's funnier with him being clueless, but you gotta feel a little bad for Amy. It'll happen eventually...I hope.

7. Eric/Donna (That 70's Show)
They lived next door to each other their whole lives. It's been awhile since I've seen the entire series, so I don't really remember what happened in the middle of the show. I do know they were supposed to get married but they didn't and that in the final season Eric left to teach in Africa. Even though I remember season 8 being the worst season [see my previous comments about Jackie & Hyde], I did like the last few scenes of the show. However, I do wish Eric was in the last episode a little more, but at least he showed up and got back together with Donna before the new decade.

6. Robin/Barney (How I Met Your Mother)
Even in the earlier seasons I thought Robin and Barney would make a good couple. They seemed to have a lot in common [more than Robin and Ted]. I was so happy when Barney asked Robin to marry him this season [sorry for those behind]. Now Ted can finally completely get over Robin, because of part of me believes he still has feelings for her.

5. Lucy/Ricky (I Love Lucy)
I don't think this one needs an explanation. They're a classic couple.

4. Marshall/Lily (How I Met Your Mother)
I think the best thing about this relationship is Marshall. I mean it's Jason Segal for goodness sake. I love him! I like how the met in college and Marshall knew right away he was going to marry her. I have to admit that sometimes their closeness is a little too much at times, but I still love them anyways.

3. JD/Elliot (Scrubs)
A classic will they/won't they couple. Normally I hate couples who are on again/off again, but for some reason I really liked these two. There was something about them that just clicked; I'm just not sure what. Maybe it was the fact that I didn't care for any of their other relationships or maybe it's because I could hear JD's thoughts about her.

2. Jim/Pam (The Office)
Okay first of all Jim is adorable. Everything about him is cute especially his relationship with Pam. I love how they would mess with Dwight or instead of working Jim would go over to Pam's desk and talk to her. I love how they just love the little things about each other. Oh and I finally watched the episode where they get married [I know I'm so behind] & it may be the cutest thing I've ever seen. I loved Jim's quote about Plan A was marrying Pam a long time ago...the first day they met. Could he be any cuter?

1.Chandler/Monica (Friends)
Honestly, I didn't really care for Ross/Rachel [although I did love how they got together in the series finale]. Like I said before I don't like on again/off again couples, plus I never really liked Rachel [yet I like Jennifer Aniston]. To me Chandler and Monica were the ultimate couple.

Growing Up

So on Friday night [or technically Saturday morning] Vern & I were talking about how it's crazy that kids we went to school with are getting married or having kids. It was about 2 am and we were both exhausted from her birthday party. Then I opened my mouth and said the above quote, "Everyone is getting married and having babies and we're over here having a fucking Disney party." Vern found this hilarious. I didn't realize how true it was until I woke up later that morning and fully functioning. It's weird how fast things are moving and how we're growing up. I still think 19 or 20 is too young to get married or have a kid, but things happen I guess. None of my close friends are nowhere near marriage or having babies. Instead we play board games and have Disney themed parties. I guess some of us take some time to become a grown up. And as of right now I'm perfectly fine with that.

Sunday Favorites

Since I was busy on Friday and Saturday, this weeks Friday Favorites will be on Sunday. On Friday my friend Vern had her Disney themed 20th birthday party [I'll post some pictures of the party later]. I spent the night at her house and hung out with her and another friend, Alexis, all day Saturday. So for this weeks favorites, I decided it should be Disney themed just like the party!

We watched Up Saturday night. Alexis cried and Vern & I were just teary-eyed. I swear this movie gets to me.

I haven't seen Peter Pan in a long time, but I remember loving it.

I love The Aristocats so much! My second favorite Disney movie. The orange kitty, Toulouse, is my favorite.

I love Winnie the Pooh especially the book versions.
This is probably my favorite Disney song and Mulan in probably my favorite "princess" [even though technically she isn't one].

My favorite Disney movie! Dodger is my favorite Disney character and he's so cool!

Mary Poppins is another one I haven't seen in a long time, but I love Julie Andrews.

These sweaters! I'm in love! I must have the Lady & the Tramp one!

Happy Birthday Vern!

Yesterday was my friend Vern's birthday. I met her in 6th grade [she was in my P.E. class], but we didn't become friends until our sophomore year. We've been inseparable ever since. She's one of my best friends and I can tell her just about anything. I can be myself when I'm around her and I know she won't judge me. We have so many inside jokes that I can't even write them all down. But here are a few:

-"Amelia Bedelia is that one chick who's always messing up, but she makes hecka good pie." "How would you know? Have you ever had her pie?"
-"I hecka bought those muffins."
-"Seaweave."
-"Some tribal shit."
-"A girl?" "No fried chicken."
There's lots more but I don't want to go on forever.
So happy birthday Vern. I love you & I'm glad you're back for the summer.

MOM

This year Mother's Day kind of snuck up on me. I didn't even have time to make my mom anything, which I felt really guilty about. On Friday, my mom, my aunt and I went to visit my grandma and we stayed there until Saturday night. Once we got home I went to go see my friend Vern who just came back from New York for the summer. I didn't get home until 1 am. I originally planned on staying up late making my mom something, but I was too exhausted by the time I got home. So this morning I had nothing to give my mom except for a note I wrote her before I went to bed. But somehow I remembered that she wanted me to make her a CD awhile ago but I never got around to it. So that's what I did. I made her a mix CD featuring artists like Best Coast, Cults, Icona Pop & The Lumineers. She hasn't listened to it yet, but I'm sure she'll like it [hopefully].
Happy Mother's Day Mom! :]

Friday Favorites

Thank Grimm it's Friday! This weekend I'm going to my Grandma's with my mom and aunts. Sunday is Mother's Day and it's also my friend Vern's birthday [she comes home for the summer on Saturday].

I know for a fact I have done this little dance when my food comes.

It's photos like this that make me love the Giants even more.

I wish Ron Weasley was my boyfriend.

I say cooliest all the time. Does this make me uncool?

This is so stinkin' cute!

Haha yeah most likely.

Ladies always go first. Unless you're going into a haunted house.

The men from Parks & Rec [Rob Lowe's character is not pictured :( ].

Some New Friends

On Sunday, Mom and I had a booth at the Sacred Heart Spring Bazaar. There was alot of other activities going on other than the booths. There was a petting zoo which I was excited about. I decided to go by myself while Mom watched the booth. At the petting zoo there was a cow, two sheep or lambs [I don't know the difference], a turkey, two bunnies and a guinea pig.

She was my favorite. She was just chilling by herself and I came over and petted her. I think she liked me.

Mr. Turkey was scared at first until you started petting him.

These two would run from you whenever you got near them. I did get to pet them eventually, but they wouldn't stay still for a photo with me.

Crush of the Month

It was another tough one, but April belongs to...

Adam Scott! My brother Kevin has got me hooked on Parks and Recreation and I love his character Ben Wyatt. He's a Star Wars lovin', Batman costume wearing, cop fearing nerd, who dates Amy Poehler's character. I just finished season 4 a couple months ago, so now I'm just waiting for season 5 to come out on Netflix.

Friday Favorites

Another week has gone by and only one week left until my friend Vern comes home for the summer! All my friends have finished their finals and soon Vern will be here. Summer is so close I can almost taste it [not literally of course].

Kids, don't be a Jerry.

"Why couldn't God make me Elvis?" This was my favorite quote from Nowhere Boy.

Best dance moves ever! It's so hard to pick a favorite, but I love the twin girls dance.

How cute! :)

Oh Workaholics--these guys are too much.

My favorite movie!

How can you not love Winnie the Pooh? He's so adorable!

Coolest handshake known to mankind.

I love this picture.

Happy Spring!

It's finally May--Hooray! I love when seasons change and you start listening to different kinds of music. Right now these are some of the songs that I've been listening to. It has a springy/early summer kind of feel to it. So listen and enjoy. :)
[I know it's kinda long. I'll try to make my future playlists shorter.]
