Life Lately [June/July]

Hello blog world I have been away for awhile now, but I'm back! Here's what I've been up to lately. :)

Early June Vern, Danielle, McKenna, Caleb, Rickey, James, Berto & Veronica went to Santa Cruz. We weren't there very long, but we had fun in the sun.

Danielle, Vern and me.

This is Gracie's 3rd BarkBox and she couldn't wait to open it! She got banana chips, bones, jerky & a crab toy. She loved everything!

\My parents and I went to see Kool & The Gang at the fair in Turlock. They were awesome!

This is me at the fair [the same day as the Kool & The Gang concert]. The dress is from Modcloth.

Day 2 at the fair. My friend Samantha and I went to see Joan Jett & The Blackhearts. This is me waiting for them to perform.

Here's my friend Samantha and me in our new Joan Jett shirts.

Vern, Danielle & I went to Santa Cruz to watch Beetlejuice on the beach. The movie started at 9 pm, but we got there in the morning. We bought wristbands for unlimited rides and we ate clam chowder in a bread bowl for dinner.

This picture was taken right before we left. We asked an employee if he could take the picture for us.

My brother Derek bought season tickets for the 49ers new stadium. Since he was a ticket holder, he got 4 tickets to tour the new stadium before anyone else. Unfortunately he couldn't go because he was in Alaska, but Kevin, his girlfriend Krystal & I went instead.

Here's a panoramic view of the stadium.

A (Sun)Day at the Beach

On Sunday I went to Santa Cruz with Danielle, her dad and her grandma. We went to the beach, ate at The Crow's Nest and did a little shopping. At first it was freezing, but it warmed up during the day. We left around 9 and got home around 8; it was a long day.

The beach at 11am.

My favorite picture from the day.

Round & Round We Go

This is my latest scrapbooking page. These photos are from July when Vern and I went to Santa Cruz for my brother's company picnic. The top photo is our view from the Ferris Wheel and the bottom photo is our feet (I'm on the left). I used an empty alphabet sticker sheet and peeled it off and inked them as the background. I have seen this technique on other pages, but I've never tried it before. I gotta say that I love it! The only problem was the sticker I had was really sticky and was a little difficult to get it off the paper.
I also used:
-Round & Round We Go rub ons
-Ferris Wheel stamp
-Arrows (which I inked in a red-orange)
-White pen to write when and where
-White paper to matte pictures
-Glimmermist in Pearl (it's hard to see in the picture)

Santa Cruz

I know, I know. I haven't been posting lately even though I said I would. I'll seriously try to post more this month.
On Saturday, July 27th my brother Tony had a company picnic at the Boardwalk. He asked me if I wanted to go and I could bring a friend. I brought my friend Vern with me. We left around 9 and arrived around 11. We had free food [hotdogs, hamburgers, salad, beans] and drinks from 12pm to 2:30pm. We also got a wristband that let us go on all the rides for free. After we ate, Vern and I went on some rides. The first one was the rollercoaster, The Big Dipper. I'm not really a fan of rollercoasters since I'm afraid of heights, but I decided to go on this one. It was a lot more fun that I thought it would be.

This is seriously the scariest ride. I was freaking out the entire time.

I kinda felt like Pocahontas in this photo.
